- Where do the hazards and controls come from?
- From a library written for the general workplace, each entry following the HSE guidance it cites. The generator never decides for you: you tick only the controls that are actually in place and you set the rating. Anything the library does not cover you type in.
- Is the finished document HSE approved?
- No document is HSE approved. HSE does not approve assessments. The output follows the five steps in HSE guidance, and the employer must review it against the actual workplace before relying on it.
- Why do the controls start unticked when I load an example?
- The example describes someone else's workplace. A risk assessment records what you do, not what someone else does, so the controls start blank and you tick the ones in place. Anything left unticked goes on the further action list.
