A COSHH data sheet is not the same as a safety data sheet
The safety data sheet, or SDS, comes from the supplier. It describes the product: its hazards, its exposure limits, first aid, storage and disposal. The supplier must give you one for any hazardous product.
What people call a COSHH data sheet, COSHH sheet or COSHH form is your assessment of how that product is used in your workplace. It is the document regulation 6 of the COSHH Regulations 2002 asks for. The SDS is the input; the assessment is the output.
These pages summarise the official data in our own words and cite the source. We do not host or copy manufacturer data sheets. Every record shows its HSE and ECHA sources and the date they were checked. Classifications are checked automatically against the HSE GB mandatory classification list (version 8, published 16 September 2025) and the ECHA C&L inventory. Last check 9 September 2026: 11 of 11 classified substances matched. Exposure limits come from HSE EH40/2005. Confirm every value against the supplier data sheet for the product and concentration you use, because the classification of a mixture can differ from the substance.
